    Ring Types

    There are many different types of rings, including:

    Wedding rings: Traditionally worn by married couples to symbolize their commitment to each other.

    • Engagement rings: Traditionally given to a partner as a symbol of an upcoming marriage proposal.

    • Promise rings:  Given as a symbol of a promise or commitment, such as a promise to remain celibate until marriage.

    •  Class rings: Traditionally worn by high school or college graduates to commemorate their graduation and school affiliation.

    • Signet rings:  Traditionally used to make an impression in wax or clay, such as to seal a letter or document.

    Claddagh rings:  A traditional Irish ring that symbolizes love, loyalty, and friendship.

    •  Birthstone rings:  A ring that features a gemstone associated with the wearer's birth month.

    •  Fashion rings:  A ring worn primarily for fashion or style rather than symbolism..

    •  Friendship rings:   Given as a symbol of friendship between two people..

     

    These are just a few examples, there are many other types of rings and many variations within each type.
